Hair Extensions, minefield right? Especially if you have never had them before or don’t know anyone who has them. People have lots of questions and quite rightly so, as there are plenty of things to consider. No one brand of hair extensions is suitable for every hair type out there, so by carrying more than one brand you are instantly catering for all hair types and all budgets. This is why I offer a consultation. It’s a great place to be able to ask the questions and more importantly get your answers. In the meantime, I’m going to answer the most pertinent question I get asked.

Is my hair suitable for hair extensions?
The vast majority of people’s hair is suitable for hair extensions, but the thing to remember is that everyone is individual. Hair types and lifestyle combined are always things to consider together. On top of looking at a potential clients hair and observing wether or not their hair is fine or thick, shallow rooted or has plenty of coverage; I would also want to ascertain lifestyle questions. Things that can make a difference are, do you like the gym? Do you like Bikram Yoga? Ride a bike? Do you have time? Time to come for your maintenance appointments and time to brush your hair thoroughly – no joke, some people simply don’t have the time! Are you having them for your wedding and then going straight on honeymoon?*

It’s with all this information that we determine the right approach for you and your hair.

*There’s a terrible condition called Honeymoon hair, plenty of women suffer from it. It’s when the hair on the back of their head gets clumped together in one massive mat – the sign of an excellent honeymoon (nudge, nudge) disastrous for your hair!
